Pearl Jam have announced a new visual experience event tied to their latest album, Gigaton. The 4K Dolby Atmos/Dolby Vision event goes live at midnight on Apple TV.

Originally planned as a theatrical event, Gigaton Visual Experience will now stream in an at-home immersive audiovisual format, offering fans a chance to experience the album in a completely different way. It starts tonight at 12 a.m. ET/9 p.m. PT.

According to a press release, the visual album experience "pairs the band's inspired visuals, produced by the award-winning Evolve Studios, to create an unparalleled experience that enhances Gigaton's massive scope."

In a statement, producer Josh Evans explained, "I'm excited for fans to be able to immerse themselves in the sound and to hear the depth and layers of these songs and performances. It's truly a unique way to experience this album."

Gigaton Visual Experience goes live on Apple TV, where it will be available to stream free for seven days before Pearl Jam release it for purchase/rental.

Gigaton was released last month via Monkeywrench/Republic. In March, the band were forced to cancel their North American tour in support of the record due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
