Paul Thomas Anderson in Talks with Bradley Cooper for Next Film

Paul Thomas Anderson is slowly but surely working on his follow-up to Phantom Thread. As previously reported, the film will be set in the 1970s, and now it may have its lead in one Bradley Cooper.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Cooper is in talks to star in the film. While details are scarce, the as-yet-untitled film takes place in the San Fernando Valley in the 1970s.

The film was written by Anderson, and in addition to directing, he will produce with Sarah Murphy. 

This will mark the director's fourth film set in the San Fernando Valley in California, following Boogie Nights, Magnolia and Punch-Drunk Love
