'Orange Is the New Black' Creator Jenji Kohan Brings the 'Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling' to Netflix

Later this month, Jenji Kohan's Orange Is the New Black will return with its fourth season for Netflix, and there are at least three more seasons of the show set to follow. That's not the only project Kohan has in the works, however — she's now making a series about cult '80s wrestling heroes GLOW (a.k.a. the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling).

GLOW was itself a wrestling league and extremely bizarre television show complete with comedy sketches and musical performances in the 1980s. Its cult status was solidified with the 2012 documentary GLOW: The Story of the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling.

Kohan's GLOW series had been given a 10-episode order from Netflix, and we're promised "big hair and body slams" as it tells a fictionalized account of the wrestling league's creation.

The show is being billed as a comedy, and was created by Homeland's Liz Flahive and OITNB's Carly Mencsch alongside Kohan.

While we await more details on Kohan's new Netflix show, watch the trailer for the GLOW documentary below.
