Earlier this month, Oneohtrix Point Never revealed his Iggy Pop collaboration "The Pure and the Damned" from the Safdie Brothers' upcoming film, Good Time. Now, the electronic project (helmed by Daniel Lopatin) has earned top honours in the soundtrack category at the Cannes Film Festival.

His original score for Good Time received the Soundtrack Award over the weekend, beating out other nominated works by Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood, Jed Kurzel and Ibrahim Maalouf.

The Soundtrack Award is an independent honour awarded by the festival's jurors. For a complete list of all the awards handed out at Cannes this year, head over here.

As previously reported, Good Time stars Robert Pattinson as a bank robber attempting to get his brother out of prison on Rikers Island. It hits theatres on August 11 via A24, and you can hear "The Pure and the Damned" in the trailer below.
