Nina Simone documentary What Happened, Miss Simone? will be screening this week at Toronto's Hot Docs Festival, but it will also be making its way onto Netflix in June if you can't make it out. Before any of this happens, though, you can check out a moving trailer for the film.

The preview features a lot of vintage concert scenes, as well as footage with the late singer/pianist discussing the affects of the civil rights movement on her work. "How can you be an artist and not reflect the times?" she says in an interview. Scored by a cover of "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood," the trailer hints that the film will also focus on how she was full of "rage," using confrontational concert moments and anecdotes to get this across.

You can check out the trailer down below, via Chart Attack. What Happened, Miss Simone? premieres on Netflix June 26. You can find out about this week's screenings in Toronto over here
