Big Little Lies Season 2 is without a doubt one of the most anticipated shows of 2019, and now thanks to star Nicole Kidman, we know when we can expect its return.

During a surprise appearance with husband Keith Urban on CNN's New Year's Eve Live with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen on December 31, the actress let it leak that HBO's Big Little Lies would likely be returning in June.

Kidman was asked about the second season by Cohen, and she responded, "It's looking like June. I think June."

So while her answer isn't anything dead-on specific, it does give us all an idea when we can expect Big Little Lies to come back into our lives.

Big Little Lies Season 2 will be bringing back stars Kidman, Reese Witherspoon and Shailene Woodley as three mothers struggling in Monterey, CA, as they become embroiled in a murder investigation.

Co-stars Laura Dern and Zoe Kravitz will also return, and as previously reported, Meryl Streep has been confirmed to join the cast for Season 2. She will play Mary Louise Wright, the mother of Alexander Skarsgård's character (who was in Season 1).

Big Little Lies Season 2 went into production in March 2018, with show creator David E. Kelley having all scripts already in the bag last year. Season 2 will be made up of seven episodes, though Andrea Arnold will be replacing Jean-Marc Vallée as the director of the series.
