The streaming wars have created such a demand for content that the streaming services have now opted to make streamable shows about other streaming services. Yes, Netflix is working on a TV series about the creation of Spotify.

The show does not have a title just yet, but it will be directed by Per-Olav Sørensen, and it will be based on Sven Carlsson and Jonas Leijonhufvud's book Spotify Untold.

According to Netflix, the series will be "about how hard convictions, unrelenting will, access and big dreams can help small players challenge the status quo by evolving the way we can all listen to music."

"The rise of Spotify is one of the greatest stories to come out of Sweden in the past 10 years," Leijonhufvud had previously said about the book on which the show is based. "It's a saga of a young founder who came out of nowhere and beat Apple at their own game."

Director Sørensen previously worked with Netflix on the show Quicksand.

As of yet, there's no firm premiere date for the upcoming series.
