Uncut Gems directors Josh and Benny Safdie have been making some big moves. In addition to a two-year HBO deal, their Showtime pilot with Nathan Fielder has been picked up to series. Today, more details have emerged.

The show is called The Curse and will see Fielder star alongside Oscar winner Emma Stone. Benny Safdie will also appear in the show, with Fielder set to direct and all parties involved with producing. A24 is also attached to the project.

The Curse is described as a "genre-bending" sitcom that sees Fielder and Stone play a newly married couple trying to conceive a child while also working on an HGTV series.

"The fierce intelligence and wit of the incomparable Emma Stone make her the perfect partner with the ingenious minds of the Safdie brothers and the subversive comedy of Nathan Fielder," Showtime's Amy Israel said in a statement. "Together, they promise to deliver a groundbreaking satire that is both unexpected and deeply human. Showtime continues to shine as a beacon for visionary filmmakers who are looking to create their ambitious, singular shows."

Stay tuned for more information on The Curse as it becomes available.
