This past week, there was a major uproar concerning the reshoot fees for Ridley Scott's All the Money in the World, as Mark Wahlberg was paid $1.5 million more than his costar Michelle Williams. Now, Wahlberg has responded to the controversy by donating the entire $1.5 million to the #TimesUp movement.
Wahlberg posted a note on Twitter saying that he supports the fight for equal pay between men and women and that he is donating his money to the TIME'S UP Legal Defense Fund in Williams' name. Read his note below.
Director Ridley Scott reshot parts of All the Money in the World in order to remove Kevin Spacey from the movie following accusations of sexual misconduct. Scott reportedly turned down a fee for the reshoots, while Williams got just $80 per day.
There's no word as to whether this will impact the union investigation into the reshoot fees.
