Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly's upcoming Holmes & Watson stands as the most anticipated comedy of the holidays, and with it, we are also getting a new soundtrack by Devo hero Mark Mothersbaugh.
It's been revealed that Mothersbaugh's upcoming score will be released via Sony Classical on December 21 just a few days before Etan Cohen's comedy hits screens on Christmas Day.
Of course, Mothersbaugh is no stranger to film-score work. In addition to penning a ton of music for director Wes Anderson, he's done the soundtracks to The LEGO Movie, Thor: Ragnarok and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, among many others.
Holmes & Watson is written and directed by Cohen and stars Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly, Rebecca Hall, Rob Brydon, Kelly Macdonald and Ralph Fiennes. In case you didn't guess from the title, the film follows a detective you may or may not have heard of named Sherlock Holmes and his partner Doctor Watson.
