Published Dec 04, 2019Well folks, it's December — and you know what that means. All month long we'll be subject to Mariah Carey's 1994 holiday hit "All I Want for Christmas Is You" in shopping malls, taxis, our own homes — everywhere. Hate it or love it, the song is here to stay for the rest of the month.
This wildly popular song is so culturally ingrained, in fact, that it is to be the subject of an all new documentary called Mariah Carey Is Christmas!
The mini-doc arrives later this month via Amazon Music and will feature interviews with Carey, as well as appearances from collaborator Randy Jackson, Gary Trust from Billboard, Shirley Halperin from Variety and Carey's backup singer Trey Lorenz.
Mariah Carey Is Christmas! will delve into the unlikely popularity and "the genesis and cultural impact of the holiday single, a rare song from the modern era to become a true Christmas classic."
The exact release date of the film remains unclear, but for now you can watch the trailer below.
