Louis C.K. and Albert Brooks Are Making an Animated Series for FX

Louis C.K. and Albert Brooks represent two different generations of comedy, but that hasn't stopped them from collaborating. The pair will appear in this summer's animated film The Secret Life of Pets, and now it looks like they've got an animated television series in the works as well.

As The Hollywood Reporter explains, the actors are currently working on a new, hour-long animated pilot for FX under C.K.'s Pig Newton production banner.

All plot information is under wraps about the project, although we know it's being co-created and co-written by the two performers. They'll also voice the show's lead characters.

C.K.'s Pig Newton company is currently in a production frenzy while Louie is on hiatus. He's teamed up with Zach Galifianakis to handle Baskets for FX (the show premieres later this month), while his Louie co-star Pamela Adlon also has a show called Better Things on the way. The company is also handling Tig Notaro's upcoming Amazon series.

Stay tuned for more information on Louis C.K. and Albert Brooks' animated series as it becomes available.
