Linkin Park Filmed a 'Carpool Karaoke' Episode Before Chester Bennington's Death

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Jul 21, 2017

The "Carpool Karaoke" segment made popular by The Late Late Show with James Corden is being turned into a full-blown series, and Linkin Park are among the guests expected to appear on the upcoming show.

Just last week, the band shared a photo from the set of the show, alongside actor Ken Jeong.

Like many others in the entertainment industry, Jeong was shocked to learn of Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington's death yesterday (July 20). Earlier today, a coroner confirmed that the cause of death was suicide by hanging.

Usually funny man Jeong took to Twitter in a sombre mood to offer his condolences to the late vocalist.

Carpool Karaoke: The Series is slated to arrive exclusively on Apple Music beginning August 8. New episodes will be released each week, though it is currently unclear exactly when (or, indeed, if) the Linkin Park and Jeong-featuring episode will hit the streaming service.
