Liam Gallagher is tossing his name into the ring for the new James Bond theme song.

The former Oasis singer reportedly told Irish radio station Today FM that he's vying for the honour of penning the latest theme song for the 25th instalment of the Bond series, No Time to Die.

Gallagher gave a fairly succinct summary of the upcoming film, describing it as "all about death, innit."

He added, "Die not next week, can't be arsed dying today, might die fucking next month, there's a lot of death going on."

Gallagher also said he had met with producer Barbara Broccoli in 2017, while Danny Boyle was still slated to direct the film.

"Obviously they changed directors but we're still open to it," Gallagher said. "But they're not even having those conversations yet."

As previously reported, No Time to Die will now be directed by Cary Fukunaga, and it will serve as Daniel Craig's last appearance as Bond.

It's expected to hit theatres on April 8, 2020.
