Former Saturday Night Live star Leslie Jones has been announced as the host for an upcoming reboot of Supermarket Sweep.

The TV game show will return to its original broadcaster ABC, and production is slated to begin in the spring.

The original show aired from 1965 to 1967, and it has been brought back with revivals from 1990 to 1995 and 1999 to 2003.

The premise pits three teams of two contestants against each other, combining a quiz show about the price of particular items and an actual race through the aisles of a grocery store.

Jones confirmed her involvement in the show, telling her social media followers: "2020 about to be lit."

Jones also has a Netflix special titled Time Machine on the way. It hits the streaming service on January 14.
