Though we're mere months away from the long-awaited Season 9 of Curb Your Enthusiasm, the show has taken a long time to return to the air. While Larry David was taking his sweet time to arrive at a good idea for the show, he also kept busy by portraying presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders on Saturday Night Live. It turns out there's a good reason David was so good at the role — he's actually related to Sanders.

While promoting the forthcoming season of Curb at a TCA panel, David revealed that he's related to Vermont's long-running senator. During a Q&A, David said that he recently completed an episode of the family tree reality show Finding Your Roots With Henry Louis Gates, Jr.

Though he didn't explain the details, he added that he had been asked to keep their relationship under wraps until the episode aired. As such, we might be able to expect a Curb-style yelling match between David and Henry Louis Gates, Jr.

Further, HBO has confirmed the full guest list for the forthcoming season of Curb. In addition to cast members like Jeff Garlin, JB Smoove, Cheryl Hines, Ted Danson, Richard Lewis, Susie Essman and Mary Steenburgen, the show will include guest spots from Elizabeth Banks, Bryan Cranston, Jimmy Kimmel, Ed Begley, Jr., Carrie Brownstein, Nick Offerman, Nasim Pedrad, Elizabeth Perkins, June Diane Raphael and Judge Judy. Further, Gilmore Girls star Lauren Graham will have a multi-episode arc.

Curb Your Enthusiasm returns on October 1.
