Joe Exotic from 'Tiger King' Once Asked Marilyn Manson to Endorse Him for Governor of Oklahoma

Now that everyone's favourite docuseries about a self-absorbed roadside-zoo-owner-turned-felon named Joe Exotic, Netflix's Tiger King, has reached peak meme levels, snippets of odd truths about its key players are falling out all over the place, including Joe's well-documented run for presidency in the 2016 American election.

After failing to beat out Donald Trump nearly four years ago, Joe later ran for governor of Oklahoma in 2018 — and apparently pulled all the stops to make it happen — at the time, even going as far as to ask Marilyn Manson to endorse his campaign.

Earlier today, Manson shared a screenshot of the Tiger King's request in his Instagram DMs from back in January 2018, in which Exotic asks the artist, "Would you endorse me? Not asking for money. Just to use your name as an endorsement."

It appears from the screenshot that Manson never bothered to answer him, but today shared the message with the world, maintaining a firm no to his request and captioning the post, "Nope. Don't Fuck With Cats."

Despite his failure to win his place in government, there is one thing we can say for Joe Exotic the Tiger King: at least he has united us all while we trudge through this period of isolationcelebrities and normies alike.
