Jason Mitchell — the actor who portrayed Eazy-E in Straight Outta Compton — has been swiftly dropped from his agency and a number of film and television projects following severe misconduct allegations.

Details are scarce, but the reaction to the allegations has been undeniably severe. Mitchell has not had his role renewed on Lena Waithe's hit series The Chi, and he was dropped from the upcoming Netflix project called Desperados. He was also dropped by the United Talent Agency and the management company Authentic Talent & Literary Management.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, sources close to The Chi said that Tiffany Boone, who played Mitchell's girlfriend on the Showtime series, had multiple complaints about the actor. She repeatedly complained of sexual harassment and allegedly had her fiancé, Dear White People's Marque Richardson, come to set when she shot scenes with him.

She allegedly told Fox 21, who produces The Chi, that she could no longer work with Mitchell. At that point, the source claimed that she was released to pursue other projects while Mitchell stayed on the show. That said, the source said other performers on The Chi had also complained about Mitchell.

Desperados is a Netflix comedy that has not begun shooting yet. In the film, he was set to star opposite Nasim Pedrad, Anna Camp and Robbie Amell. According to sources, Pedrad and Camp had complained about Mitchell. A source told The Hollywood Reporter that producers received "specific information which was investigated immediately and thoroughly and dealt with as quickly as possible."

In 2016, Mitchell was investigated for allegedly assaulting an 18-year-old woman at a party in Boston.

Reps for all parties involved have not made any official statements about these latest developments.
