Since every day should come with at least a small helping of irony, Ice-T has lent us a hand by being arrested while on his way to film Law & Order: SVU.

As TMZ reports, the rapper/actor was pulled over this morning for toll evasion while he was crossing the E-Z Pass Lane — for drivers who prepay tolls with a transmitter — on the George Washington Bridge in New Jersey. Apparently, he didn't have a pass and just kept on driving towards NYC, where he was eventually pulled over by Port Authority police.

According to the report, Ice-T — who actually plays NYPD Detective/Sergeant Fin Tutuola in Law & Order: SVU — was then arrested for both evading the toll and for driving an unregistered vehicle, which just happened to be a super fancy and brand new McLaren.

When speaking to TMZ Ice-T said he simply forgot to bring E-Z Pass. However, he gave a much better response to HipHopDX, telling the site, "Fuckin' cops."
