Now that the weather is cooling down a little, you have even more excuse to lie around in your undies and eat Cheetos while staring into the wonderful void that is your Netflix queue. Fortunately, October is jam-packed with goodies for Canadian subscribers.

Netflix recently vowed that they plan to up their original programming to 50 percent, and while they haven't quite hit that fraction yet, there's plenty of exclusives hitting the service this month.

Perhaps most exciting is the return of Charlie Brooker's dystopian anthology series Black Mirror, which launches its six-episode third season on October 21. The show was picked up for 12 episodes, so its unclear whether Netflix plans to drop the other six as part of Season 3 or if they intend to save them for a fourth batch.

Other series making their Netflix debut include Miranda Sings' Haters Back Off! (October 14), a new show called Glitch (October 15), Midnight Diner: Tokyo Stories (October 21) and the North American debut of the hit British comedy Chewing Gum (October 31).

The Trailer Park Boys will hop the pond with Out of the Park: Europe (October 28), while the service will also bring back series like From Dusk Til Dawn (October 5), The Ranch (October 7) and Kuromukuro (October 10).

The Netflix original film slate is also extremely busy, with anticipated releases like Jonathan Demme's latest music doc Justin Timberlake + the Tennessee Kids (October 12), Christopher Guest's Mascots (October 13) and Werner Herzog's Into the Inferno (October 28), all of which recently played at TIFF.

As if that weren't enough, other Netflix movies include The Siege of Jadotville (October 7), 13th (October 7), Sky Ladder: The Art of Cai Guo-Qiang (October 14), 7 Años (October 28) and I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House (October 28).

If you need some laughs, the service will also debut new comedy specials from Russel Peters (October 7) and Joe Rogan (October 21).

As for the non-exclusives, there are plenty of notable flicks hitting the 'flix this month. They include Joy (October 1), Deadpool (October 1), Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2 (October 1), Romeo + Juliet (October 1), The Mighty Ducks (October 1), The Parent Trap (October 1), The Prestige (October 1), The Water Boy (October 1), Horrible Bosses 2 (October 10), Miles Ahead (October 19), The Lobster (October 19), District 9 (October 21) The Man Who Knew Infinity (October 22) and Fury (October 27).

It's also your last chance to watch a strange collection of half-decent films, terrible movies and unwanted sequels. Out of the Furnace leaves the service on October 1, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button leaves on October 4, Adam Sandler's Blended leaves on October 12, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring leaves on October 15, Penguins of Madagascar: The Movie leaves on October 15, Sex and the City 2 leaves on October 15, Godzilla leaves on October 16 and Despicable Me 2 leaves on October 25.
