If you've been itching for Black Panther 2, you're in luck. The release date has just been revealed.
Over the weekend, the sequel by director Ryan Coogler was confirmed, with Marvel/Disney setting the release date of May 6, 2022, for Black Panther 2.
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige made the confirmation at Disney's D23 Expo in Anaheim, CA, alongside Coogler, who said he is "taking their time with it" in order to get the film right.
Black Panther arrived in 2018, grossing $700 million USD to make it the highest-grossing Marvel movie ever until it was dethroned by Avengers: Endgame. Black Panther racked up a pile of Academy Award nomination and took home three awards: Best Original Music Score, Costume Design and Production Design.
At this point, little else is know about the upcoming film including, with Black Panther 2 only being a working title for now.
