Last year, we learned that Denis Villeneuve's beloved Sicario was being developed into a trilogy. Now, we finally get a taste of the second film in the series.
This entry is being directed by Stefano Sollima. When the film was first announced, he said, "It's absolutely a standalone movie — a completely different story with just two of the characters that you met in Sicario.... The reason that I love it is because it's not exactly a sequel; it's something you can catch... even if you haven't watched the first one."
While that may be true, the film has been given the decidedly sequel-like title Sicario 2: Soldado. It features the return of Josh Brolin and Benicio Del Toro, and looks to have similarly high-tension action to the original.
Watch the trailer for Soldado below, and look for the film to arrive in the summer of 2018.
