Best known for co-creating Fleabag with Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Vicky Jones branched out with her own creation Run earlier this year. The show, which is about two long-lost lovers who drop everything in their present lives to be horny on a train together for some reason, has been cancelled.

Run ran for seven episodes on HBO, but the network has decided not to proceed with more of the show. "After exploring potential ways of continuing Ruby and Billy's journey, together with showrunner Vicky Jones, we have come to the decision that we will not be moving forward with a second season of Run," the network said.

The show starred Merritt Wever and Domnhall Gleeson, and certainly struck a unique tone with its mix of drama, romance, comedy and action.

"We would love, love, love to keep going and keep running. I certainly have a thousand ideas," Jones had previously told Deadline. "It's called Run, and so the show has forward momentum. We can't just sit still in the story."

Run is available to stream in Canada on Crave.
