Published Feb 06, 2017If you were a Canadian kid growing up in the '90s, chances are you learned everything you know about health and fitness from Body Break's Hal and Joanne. The stars of the physical education PSAs that interrupted your childhood cartoon binging have switched gears a bit for their latest endeavour, though.
Advocating uncharacteristically couch potato-esque behaviour, the dynamic, track-suit-donning duo appear in a new Netflix ad for Santa Clarita Diet. The commercial hears Hal and Joanne listing off the benefits of the human flesh diet preferred by Drew Barrymore's zombie character on the new horror-comedy series, before delving into a live demonstration of the new health fad.
They zip up their windbreakers and bust out a chainsaw to prepare a well-balanced meal — consisting of the flesh of a fitness-focused "social media influencer."
"Keep fit and have fun," and watch the whole totally twisted clip below. Santa Clarita Diet is streaming on Netflix now.
