We get it — the above headline sounds like something from a twisted game of Mad Libs, but to reiterate: Guy Fieri's Labour Day long weekend included a trip to catch Nickelback headline a hot air balloon festival in Quebec.

The mayor of Flavortown took a trip to Gatineau, QC, to watch the Alberta rockers play the city's annual celebration of fire-powered flight last Friday night (August 30).

Now in its 32nd year, Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival's musical lineup also featured the likes of Loud, Dead Obies, Ariane Moffat and more.

Fieri was spotted at the show in Gatineau's La Baie Park by a number of attendees, who took to Twitter to announce the unexpected celebrity sighting.

It wasn't long before Fieri joined Nickelback onstage and kept everyone nice and loose with shots of tequila. A day earlier, Fieri was spotted across the river in Ottawa, accompanied by a camera crew while making a stop at the city's OCCO Kitchen & Bar. Of course, he also had his red Camaro SS with custom "FLVRTWN" licence plate in tow. Currently touring behind their 2017 album Feed the Machine, Nickelback have a pair of live shows set for Brazil this October. Earlier this year, Fieri had weekend hangs with Smash Mouth's Steve Harwell.
