Disney confirmed that James Gunn wouldn't be returning to the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise after trolls unearthed some old, distasteful jokes from the director's Twitter feed. While he's moved on to other things, including the upcoming Suicide Squad sequel, fans are not letting it go.
In fact, as the result of a GoFundMe campaign, a new billboard has emerged in California demanding that Gunn be reinstated as director for the third instalment of the franchise.
The billboard was erected in Garden Grove, CA, approximately four miles from Anaheim where the Guardians ride was recently launched at California Adventure.
The digital billboard cost $4,000 USD and will stay posted until November 25. Organizers also plan to rent out a billboard near Walt Disney World in Florida.
