The cult classic 1997 sci fi thriller Event Horizon is set to become an Amazon series, with director Adam Wingard attached to the project.
Wingard, whose credits include everything from Godzilla vs. Kong and Death Note to The Guest and You're Next, is set to direct the series as well as executive produce. As Variety reports, Larry Gordon and Lloyd Levin, both of whom produced the original film, will also return to produce the series.
In the original film, Laurence Fishburne starred as the captain of a rescue ship tasked with saving a ship that was lost in a hellish dimension after testing an experimental gravity drive.
It's unclear how many episodes of Event Horizon will exist.
