Fred Savage Brings Back His 'Princess Bride' Character for PG-13 Cut of 'Deadpool 2'

And yes, it's coming back to theatres

Ryan Reynolds' wise-cracking, meta commentary-makin' superhero Deadpool brought in an enormous, well, pool of money with Deadpool 2, so it only makes sense that the film would return to theatres. This time, however, it will ditch the R-rating for PG-13 — and that's not the only twist.

In order to make sense of the film without all of its cuss words and other 13+ content, they've established a unique framing device. Specifically, the one and only Fred Savage will reprise his bed-ridden role from The Princess Bride.

The new footage was shot in one day and manages to make sense of the movie without any of its R-rated content. You can see a still from those new scenes above.

According to Deadline, the new cut will appear in theatres from December 12 until Christmas Eve. One dollar from each ticket sold will be donated to the "Fuck Cancer" charity, with its name temporarily being shifted to "Fudge Cancer."

"While my participation in this film was anything but voluntary. I am happy to learn that Fudge Cancer will be the beneficiary of this shameless cash grab," Savage told Deadline.
