Steve Vogelsang, a former news director and sports broadcaster for CTV Winnipeg, has been arrested and charged with two counts of robbery.

According to the CBC, Vogelsang allegedly walked into a Royal Bank in Medicine Hat, AB, on October 19 wearing a disguise and demanding an undisclosed sum of money. The following day, he reportedly did the same but without a disguise at a Bank of Montreal in the same city.

Police arrested Vogelsang on Saturday at a Medicine Hat hotel. He is due to appear in provincial court on Tuesday (October 24).

After his career at CTV came to an end, Vogelsang reportedly taught at Red River College until 2011. From there, he and his wife moved to Nelson, BC. After their marriage dissolved, Vogelsang moved back to Winnipeg.
