Flamin' Hot Cheetos to Be Immortalized with New Film

BY Josiah HughesPublished Feb 22, 2018

In many ways, Flamin' Hot Cheetos have all the hallmarks of a truly classic snack. Aside from their flavour and crunch, their name is just stupid enough that they're endlessly fun to reference in pop culture. As such, it should come as no surprise that a Flamin' Hot Cheetos movie is in the works.

Thankfully, the project sounds far better than those horrid Chester Cheetah games that stunk up Segas in the '90s. According to Variety, the film will follow the true story of Richard Montanez, the Frito-Lay janitor who invented Flamin' Hot Cheetos, made the company billions and currently enjoys his position as a high-level executive.

Fox Searchlight and DeVon Franklin will produce the film, with Lewis Colick set to pen the script.

Of course, it should come as no surprise that the film is called Flamin' Hot.
