Published Nov 23, 2015The Alberta-shot FX series Fargo is currently enjoying major critical acclaim with its second season, so it should come as no surprise that the show has now been renewed for a third season.
As The Hollywood Reporter explains, the news was announced earlier today. Creator and showrunner Noah Hawley will return to the program, which is loosely based on the Coen Brothers' movie of the same name.
"Year two of Fargo is an extraordinary achievement and, given Noah Hawley's masterful storytelling, we can't wait to see where the third, all-new version of Fargo takes us," FX's Eric Schrier said in a statement.
It's unclear when the third season of Fargo will arrive. Hawley also has an overall deal with FX Productions, meaning he's likely got some other shows up his sleeves as well.
