Netflix had previously announced that it was casting Emma Corrin for Season 4 of its hit monarchy show The Crown, but now that the series has been renewed for Season 5 and Season 6, the streamer has decided to age up the character with a new, more recognizable casting choice.
Elizabeth Debicki (Tenet, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, The Night Manager) has signed on to play Diana for the final two seasons of Peter Morgan's series.
"Princess Diana's spirit, her words and her actions live in the hearts of so many," Debicki said. "It is my true privilege and honour to be joining this masterful series, which has had me absolutely hooked from episode one."
Of course, before we get Debicki, Season 4 of The Crown will arrive this winter.
