Just like last year, actor/pro-wrestler/XFL owner, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has come out at the top of the list for highest-paid actors in 2020.
Forbes announced Hollywood's Top 10 earners over the last 12 months, naming Johnson as the reigning champion for the second year in a row. He reportedly earned $87.5 million USD during that period, with a huge chunk coming from Netflix's forthcoming action-comedy film, Red Notice.
Top Canadian Netflix earner, Ryan Reynolds, stole second place on the list (also starring in Red Notice) with $71.5 million USD, while Mark Wahlberg clocked in at third place with $58 million USD. Ben Affleck, Vin Diesel, Akshay Kumar, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Will Smith, Adam Sandler and Jackie Chan — in his sixth decade of acting — all made the list as well.
Netflix spent $140.5 million USD to pay out the Top 10 earners, who all took home eight-figure paycheques. Between them, they earned $545.5 million USD over the span of a year.
You may notice a severe gender imbalance in the Forbes list; that's because the publication is set to publish a women-focused list next month.
