Donald Trump Says He Doesn't Know Who Lil Jon Is Despite the Rapper Being on 'Celebrity Apprentice' for Two Seasons

Lil Jon also famously accused Trump of making racist remarks while on the show

Donald Trump denied knowing who Lil Jon was during a press conference yesterday (November 7) — despite the fact that the rapper appeared on two seasons of Celebrity Apprentice.

A Yahoo News reporter questioned the president at the news conference about his history of making racist remarks, bringing up examples like calling black voters "stupid," Omarosa's claims that Trump used the N-word and Lil Jon's allegations that he called him "Uncle Tom."

Trump immediately denied the first two accusations, but when the reporter mentioned Lil Jon, the president's initial response was, "I don't know who Little Jon is."

The reporter pointed out that "he was on The Apprentice," to which Trump replied, "Oh, he was? Oh, I see." He then repeated, "I don't use racist remarks."

The allegations against Trump first surfaced in 2016, when The Daily Beast spoke to a former Apprentice staffer who claimed Trump referred to Lil Jon as "Uncle Tom" and could not comprehend why it was offensive.

Following the report, Lil Jon addressed the situation at the time via Twitter. He said himself and several other cast members confronted Trump about the comment immediately, and he eventually stopped using the derogatory phrase.
