Donald Trump Reportedly Held a Private 'Joker' Screening at the White House

Todd Phillips's Joker was plenty controversial on its road to box-office dominance, and it appears that controversy attracts controversy. That would explain why President Donald J. Trump hosted a screening of the film for friends and family at the White House.

Whether or not his middle initial stands for Joker is yet to be confirmed, but the antihero in chief still managed to wrangle a group to watch Phillips's transgressive Scorsese homage.

A senior White House official confirmed to Yahoo! News that Trump hosted a private screening of the film for "family, friends and some staff." Further, the White House official confirmed that Trump enjoyed the film.

He's not alone. Joker, which prominently features a song from convicted pedophile Gary Glitter, is the most profitable comic book movie of all time.
