While details are currently unclear, metal supergroup Dead Cross had a run-in with police while in Houston yesterday (August 15), with the band temporarily being placed in police custody.

Dead Cross — which features Faith No More vocalist Mike Patton, ex-Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo, Locust/Retox/Head Wound City member Justin Pearson, and Retox's Michael Crain — had their gear searched and were restrained by police, a newly issued press release reveals.

At this point, however, it's unclear why the band were taken into custody. They did share a photo of the incident — which shows the group in handcuffs — via their Facebook, though. It came with the caption, "The tour has begun! Don't leave hate out of the picture."

You can see it below.

The press release also adds, "The band members have been advised by legal counsel not to provide further comment on the incident. More information is expected to be made available from authorities following arraignment."

Dead Cross just released their self-titled debut album and are currently out on tour in support of the record. The tour so far will continue as planned, according to the press release.
