Iconic director David Lynch has plenty on his plate, from the forthcoming return of Twin Peaks to, um, whatever the hell this is. The man's clearly down for new projects, but one thing's for certain — he won't be making any more movies.
The singular grey fox just revealed to the Sydney Morning Herald that he has no plans to re-enter the film world any time soon.
"Things changed a lot," he said of the movie biz. "So many films were not doing well at the box office even though they might have been great films and the things that were doing well at the box office weren't the things that I would want to do."
This is terrible news for those of us that were hoping for the release of 2 Blue 2 Velvet. David Lynch's most recent, and apparently final, film was 2006's Inland Empire.
