Schitt's Creek capped off its meteoric run with an enormous, history-making night at the Emmys. While the show's positive message is beloved by the world over, however, co-creator Dan Levy has taken umbrage with an ad for the show that censored a gay kiss in India.
Comedy Central India posted an ad for Season 5 of the show, and it included a clip involving a game of spin the bottle. While the clip did portray the kiss between a man and a woman and the kiss between a woman and a woman, it edited out Levy's character kissing Dustin Mulligan's character.
"You showed the kiss between two women, you showed the kiss between a woman and a man, then removed the kiss between two men?" Levy wrote on Twitter. "This is a show about the power of inclusivity. The censorship of gay intimacy is making a harmful statement against that message."
