Crackle Is Shutting Down in Canada

Crackle, the ad-supported streaming service where you used to watch Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee and, if you were really hitting content rock bottom, Joe Dirt 2, is shutting down in Canada.

The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that Sony is shutting down the service in Canada. "Sony Crackle will continue to focus on its longform original content in the U.S. and Latin America," the company said. "We want to thank the loyal viewers in Canada that have enjoyed our service throughout the years."

Some of Crackle Canada's content will migrate to Bell Media's digital platforms, including CTV Movies and CTV Vault.

Crackle still has original series like The Oath (produced by 50 Cent) and The Art of More (starring Dennis Quaid), but its flagship program Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee is now a Netflix show.
