Courtney Love Warned Women About Harvey Weinstein Way Back in 2005

"If Harvey Weinstein invites you to a private party at the Four Seasons, don't go"

In the wake of rampant sexual harassment and assault allegations against Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein, footage of Courtney Love has resurfaced showing the Hole frontwoman issuing a warning about the film mogul all the way back in 2005.

In a clip unearthed by TMZ from the red carpet at Comedy Central's 2005 roast of Pamela Anderson, Love is asked by a reporter to share her advice for young women in Hollywood.

The Hole frontwoman and actress starts off hesitantly, expressing concerns about libel, then says: "If Harvey Weinstein invites you to a private party at the Four Seasons, don't go."

The clip is further proof that Weinstein's behaviour has been Hollywood's worst kept secret for decades — despite many high-profile stars who worked with the producer claiming they were shocked by the recent allegations.

Love herself seems to have ignored her own advice, however, as TMZ also shared a video clip of Love mingling with Weinstein and actress Jessica Chastain at a party at the Sunset Tower Hotel in 2012.

Love has since responded to the TMZ story, confirming that she was never one of Weinstein's victims, but that she was "eternally banned by CAA for speaking out" against him.
