College Deb Hagan
With unlikely sexual unions, topless college gals sucking each other's breasts in go-go cages and conveniently located livestock, College proves to be yet another highly implausible, homophobic male fantasy about the wild and crazy shenanigans that apparently take place during post-secondary studies. That is, in cinematically created American institutions where all college girls seemingly have breast implants and a need to walk around with them flopping about, with additional supporting sound effects and all. While there is definitely a portion of society that will appreciate these "attributes," along with humour involving used condoms, drinking tequila from the ass-crack of a man, lovingly referred to as "bearcat," and the subtle mystique of a golden shower, most will quietly observe the broad desperation of the film and laugh about its message of "being yourself." This lesson comes courtesy of a campus visit that Kevin (Drake Bell) takes with his obnoxious and obese buddy Carter (Andrew Caldwell), and his nerdy friend Morris (Kevin Covais), following the dissolution of his relationship with Gina (Alona Tal). As prospective freshmen, the boys finagle their way into a frat house where resident douche bags Teague (Nick Zano) and Cooper (Zach Cregger) conduct a series of degrading hazing rituals involving bodily waste and crudely homoerotic acts. Much to the annoyance of Teague, the high school boys become popular with the ladies on campus, in particular Kendall (Haley Bennett), for whom Teague has a thing. The DVD includes both the theatrical and unrated versions of the films, which may only be distinguishable through some manipulation of human faeces and a stripper's vulva. Also included is a gag reel with some alternate takes involving Verne "Mini-Me" Troyer and Bearcat, as well as a jokes about raping babies, which may be more amusing than the film itself. Included with the special features are trailers for Hit and Run and Behind Enemy Lines: Columbia, which are of equally high calibre. (Fox)
