Carrie Fisher Sent a Cow Tongue to a Sony Producer Who Sexually Harassed Her Friend

Hollywood is hopefully going through a major transition as industry folks share stories about misogyny, sexual assault and harassment. In the wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal, more and more people are sharing their stories. Up next comes some minor satisfaction as we learn about a particularly badass move on the part of Carrie Fisher.

According to a story told on 94.9 MixFM [via Consequence of Sound], Fisher once stood up to a sleazy producer that had sexually harassed her writer friend Heather Robinson.

The event went down in 2000, when a producer who worked for Sony tried to force his way onto Robinson after what was supposedly a business dinner. As a response, Fisher sent the man a cow tongue as a warning to back off.

No really! Read the account of Fisher's actions below, where you'll also find an audio stream of the story.

About two weeks later, she sent me a message online and she said, 'I just saw (blank) at Sony Studios. I knew he would probably be there, so I went to his office and personally delivered a Tiffany box wrapped with a white bow. I asked her what was inside and she said, 'It was a cow tongue from Jerry's Famous Deli in Westwood with a note that said, 'If you ever touch my darling Heather or any other woman again, the next delivery will be something of yours in a much smaller box!'
