Busy Philipps has accused James Franco of physically attacking her on the set of Freaks and Geeks. This comes from an excerpt of her upcoming memoir This Will Only Hurt a Little.

In the book, Philipps says Franco was a "fucking bully" on the set of the teen drama, which ran for just one season from 1999-2000. According to an excerpt obtained by Radar, Philipps was directed to hit Franco in the chest while delivering a line. At this, Franco allegedly broke character and got angry. Philipps' account is as follows:

He grabbed both my arms and screamed in my face, "DON'T EVER TOUCH ME AGAIN!" And he threw me to the ground. Flat on my back. Wind knocked out of me.

Philipps was apparently consoled by co-star Linda Cardellini, who advised that Philipps should report the incident to her manager. Franco was reportedly told to apologize by the director and producers, and he did the next day. He was allegedly never punished, however.

Philipps recently made headlines by revealing she was raped at the age of 14, and she discussed her experiences on Ellen.

Franco was previously accused of "inappropriate" and "sexually exploitative" behaviour by multiple women.
