Bruce Willis Does His Best Charles Bronson Impression in the New 'Death Wish' Trailer

BY Josiah HughesPublished Aug 3, 2017

Beginning with the 1974 masterpiece Death Wish, the late, great Charles Bronson made five movies in the role of Paul Kersey. Naturally, the results were mixed (though Death Wish 2 is arguably the best), but there's still no question that we have enough Death Wish movies. Regardless, here's the first trailer for Bruce Willis' remake.

Willis, who does not sport Bronson's iconic moustache, has teamed up with Eli Roth to create a 2017 version of the revenge movie. He tries his best to match Bronson's stoic delivery, though the new film has far too many hammy one-liners to be a true Death Wish remake.

From the looks of it, this falls firmly into the middle-aged man shooter genre that seems to be popping up lately. While it's not a particularly compelling take on Death Wish, it looks like a decent enough shoot-em-up.
