Adventure board game Ticket to Ride has sold over six million copies in over 40 countries around the globe and racked up over 65 million plays online. Now, the popular title is set to spawn a new reality TV series.

As Deadline reports, the board game is on deck to be given an unscripted television adaptation by Ben Silverman and Howard Owens' Propagate and Asmodee Entertainment. An air date and distributor for the show have yet to be revealed.

The TV adaptation of Ticket to Ride is said to be "a winner-take-all travel competition series" in which five teams "seek to complete epic challenges and rack up the most miles by air, land and sea."

"Propagate has earned a reputation for identifying great stories wherever they are and turning them into unique and compelling filmed entertainment," Propagate co-CEO Owens and president Greg Lipstone said in a statement. "This project and partnership are perfect examples of that and we are thrilled to be in business with the like-minded people at Asmodee."

Asmodee president Stéphane Carville added, "Asmodee Entertainment will develop new and exciting entertainment experiences based on the vibrant universes of our popular games. We are delighted to bring one of our most iconic properties to life with the help of our visionary partners at Propagate. We look forward to future collaborations."

Asmodee Entertainment is a newly formed platform of the French games publisher and distributor, who also count CatanArkham Horror and Pandemic among its titles.
