Beyoncé Lost an Emmy to 'Carpool Karaoke' and the Beyhive Is Pissed

She went 0 for 6 at the Creative Arts Emmys this weekend

The Creative Arts Emmys were handed out over two ceremonies this weekend, and Beyoncé walked away with zero trophies. The singer was nominated for a whopping six awards for her Netflix special Homecoming, but failed to take home a single win.

The film, which documents Bey's groundbreaking 2018 Coachella headlining sets, was up for Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded); Outstanding Costumes for a Variety, Nonfiction or Reality Programming; Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special; Outstanding Music Direction; Outstanding Production Design for a Variety Special; and Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special.

It was hard enough for Beyoncé fans to take the six losses to the likes of RuPaul's Drag Race and Hannah Gadsby, but things really got heated on Twitter when the prize for Outstanding Variety Special was awarded to James Corden for his Carpool Karaoke: When Corden Met McCartney Live from Liverpool special.

There were accusations of racism and sexism, in addition to arguments that Bey's film was just straight up better.

See some of the angry reactions from Beyoncé fans — and even one of the Homecoming cameramen — below.
