Derek Zoolander and Hansel are once again so hot right now thanks to the impending arrival of Zoolander 2. The film is said to be packed with celebrity cameos, but one famous name who didn't take the bait was former First Lady Laura Bush.
The real-life wife of George W. Bush was also nearly invited to start a relationship with Owen Wilson's character Hansel, and it wasn't just a vanilla, monogamous relationship. In a new interview with The Today Show, Ben Stiller admits that he nearly asked her to sign on for an orgy scene.
"There is a group of people that Hansel, Owen's character, is having a relationship with — a group of people — and I was going to ask her to be a member of that group," Stiller told Matt Lauer.
On the show, Stiller admitted that he was circling around the idea of having Laura Bush in an orgy scene, though she turned him down before he could mention the sensual nature of her appearance. "Actually, I just asked her if she would be interested; she politely declined and then I was so glad I didn't have to ask her to be a part of this group of people Hansel's having a relationship with."
"When the reality [of considering Laura Bush for an orgy scene] came out of my mouth I realized I was insane," Stiller added.
It may not have a Laura Bush sex scene, but Zoolander 2 will surely have plenty of outrageous scenes when it hits theatres on February 12.
