Back to the Future is one of the few successful media properties to avoid a full reboot (knock wood), but the story will live on with a new musical.
Back the Future: The Musical is set to premiere in February 2020 in Manchester, England. It will run there for 12 weeks before moving to London's West End.
The piece is being written by the movie's co-writer, Bob Gale, with music and lyrics from original Back to the Future soundtrack composer Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard. It will be directed by John Rando.
