'Avengers: Infinity War' Might Be the Most Expensive Movie of All Time

Those damned Avengers simply can't stop avenging, and we'll be getting plenty more movies about the Marvel gang in years to come. Up next, Civil War directors Anthony and Joe Russo will take the helm once again to direct another massive battle in Avengers: Infinity War.

According to a new report from the Telegraph, the film is set to begin production next month. It'll be shot throughout Edinburgh, Glasgow and the Scottish Highlands, so keep an eye out for a stray Irn-Bru can or bottle of Buckfast in the background.

Further, the Telegraph says the budget for this film will be £400 million. That's roughly $486 million USD or $643 million CAD. In other words, the film is going to be expensive as all hell.

In fact, as Flickering Myth points out, that budget would make Infinity War the most expensive film of all time. That designation previously belonged to Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, which cost $378.5 million USD to make.

Here's hoping audiences haven't grown tired of the Avengers by the time this pricey picture hits theatres.
