They'll appear in 'The Eternals' and 'Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings,' respectively

After informing us that Natalie Portman would be taking over the role of Thor and Mahershala Ali will be rebooting Blade, Marvel has unveiled several other casting decisions for upcoming films — including the addition of Angelina Jolie and Simu Liu to the Marvel Universe.

At San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday night (July 20), Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige led a marathon announcement of the company's "Phase Four" films, revealing that Jolie will be playing Thena in The Eternals.

The Eternals will be helmed by director Chloe Zhao and is also slated to feature performances from Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Salma Hayek and Brian Tyree Henry. It will hit theatres on November 6, 2020.

Scarlett Johansson will reprise her role as Black Widow for her own film, Black Widow (in which she plays the title character, not a tree). The film also stars David Harbour, Rachel Weisz and Florence Pugh, and it will hit theatres on May 1, 2020.

Next up in theatres will be the Destin Daniel Cretton-directed Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings on February 12, 2021. It will star Canadian Simu Liu in the title role, joined by a cast including Awkwafina and Tony Leung.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will also arrive in 2021, and director Scott Derrickson revealed it will be Marvel's "first horror movie."

Further details on the Ali-starring Blade reboot have yet to be revealed.

Feige also remained tight-lipped about anticipated sequels like Black Panther 2, Guardians of the Galaxy 3 and Captain Marvel 2, but hinted that Fantastic Four and Mutants films could be in the works too.

As previously reported, the Portman-starring Thor: Love and Thunder sees the return of director Taika Waititi and cast members Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson, and it's out November 5, 2021.

Comic-Con has often played host to Marvel movie milestones — it was where Avengers stars Johansson, Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans first appeared on stage together; where Brie Larson was announced as Captain Marvel; and where audiences got the first look at Black Panther.
